Leighton Resort - Negombo

excellent base for exploring nearby parks and attractions

I had a fantastic stay with friendly staff who made everything seamless, and the location was perfect, just a short walk away from Negombo Beach Park and various great dining options like The Deck and Greek Grill.

I booked a double room with a comfortable bed and a balcony, as example. The location was good, near to pubs and bars. There were restaurants and local restaurants with plenty of food.

Spotless place with cool view on a garden full of palm trees. Big bed and new-fashioned and modest rooms. Particularly good location in beautiful area, just off several restaurants, the train station, and Negombo Beach and the main strip of shops/restaurants. Besides, excellent for visiting Dutch Clock Tower.

Everything was good, the parking was on site, the room was reasonably large and modest. The venue was in a super central location near to beach and lots of great Restaurants, and the inculded airport shuttle. It also was in an area were you have to walk like 500 m until you get to the touristic area. The service was good as we had expected.

A modern and modest room with the view on garden. Particularly good location with walking distance to restaurants and local restaurants.

The room was spacious, but the balcony door didn't work well.

Enjoyed a lovely stay with amazing staff and delicious breakfasts! The pool was refreshing after a hot day ☀️. Free airport shuttle was super convenient! 👍

A lovely welcome drink surprise

The spacious room had a pleasant view, and the pool was a great escape.

Unfortunately, I had to wait longer than expected for room cleaning upon arrival, and mosquitoes were a bit bothersome . Staff seemed overwhelmed at times.

The pool area had potential, but it was in need of better cleaning. A refreshing swim is always a good way to unwind after a long day.

The sheets needed replacing, showing signs of wear with some piling. The mattress was passable, but the pillows lacked comfort. Hot water was an issue since the solar system didn't deliver consistently. I struggled with lukewarm showers even after waiting for 30-60 minutes. The air conditioning in one room failed to operate, turning it into a little sauna.

Had an awesome group trip with friends! We enjoyed the hotel's pool and made the most of the canoe and massage sessions. The nearby beach was perfect for a jog, and the staff helped us arrange cool tours. Don't miss out on the refreshing breakfasts. They hit the spot before a day out.

The only downside was the Wi-Fi. It was decent but weak in some corners of our room, which could be a hassle if you need to stay connected.

Recommend it for solo travelers

The staff was friendly and helpful. I even got a refreshing welcome drink when I arrived after a long flight which was a nice touch.

Not the cheapest option around but still reasonable for what you get.

The Beautiful Double Room was spacious with a huge bed, perfect for chilling after a long day. The air conditioning was strong, keeping the room cool. The WiFi was decent, just not great in the corners. It felt quiet enough too-couldn't hear neighbors at all, a big plus! It was super comfy and just what we needed.

Just a fine choice for a break on long journey in Negombo with good value for money. The pool was refreshing after a long day of travel. Be sure to ask about the restaurant since it's not very well advertised.

The hotel's recreational facilities were fantastic, especially the canoe and indoor pool. We had a fun time splashing around with our young baby! The nearby Negombo Beach was perfect for evening strolls, right after enjoying a hearty breakfast.

My wife says that the air conditioning in our room was insufficient.
